San Gabriel is a city in Southern California that is dedicated to preserving the culture and heritage of their city. One of the projects they have initiated to do just that is the creation of the San Gabriel Historical Walk. They have chosen fourteen different points of interest to highlight on your walk through the city.

The tile mural depicted above is located at City Hall. A stylized replica of the first known painting of the Mission, painted in 1832 by German born Naturalist Ferdinand Deppe, the mural was created by local artist George Robles, who also produced the tiles in the historic walk throughout the Mission District.
