La Purisima is the most completely restored mission in the state of California. This California mission was founded in 1787 by Father Presidente Fermin de Lasu?n and at one time housed over one thousand Chumash Indian Neophytes or converts. Today, La Purisima hosts over 200,000 visitors in its role as the 11th California mission.
